Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 23 - 20 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mike Murhaa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 33 - 14 - 0, fighting out of London, Peleki Tuala!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Colin Fotheringham and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Murhaa moves into range and clinches up with Tuala.
Tuala escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
A jab from Tuala misses.
Mike Murhaa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Murhaa sizes up Tuala with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
The fighters circle momentarily. Murhaa darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Tuala looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Murhaa has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Tuala walks into a left hand.
Tuala jabs at Murhaa's body.
Tuala has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Murhaa finds it's way round the side to connect with Tuala's head.
Murhaa rushes Tuala and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Tuala throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Murhaa swings wildly with an uppercut but Tuala uses good head movement to avoid it.
A left hand lands to the body for Tuala.
Murhaa is breathing heavily.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Tuala throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Murhaas head.
Murhaa takes a shot to the head.
Tuala working some nice short punches in the clinch.
Tuala lands a left hand that snaps the head of Murhaa backwards.
Tuala lands an uppercut.
Tuala lands with a left to the head.
That's one minute gone in the round.
A right hand to the body from Tuala.
Tuala lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Tuala lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Murhaa is rocked!
Tuala lands with a short shot to the head.
Oh Murhaa is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Tuala creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Murhaa with a big uppercut! Murhaa tries to clinch up but Tuala pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Murhaa to the mat! Murhaa covers up and Tuala unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Peleki Tuala!
