Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jay Steve (ranked 672 p4p, 310 weight class) and James Noir (ranked 98 p4p, 43 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Jay Steve has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Jay Steve seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Ren Mimura and Yukihiro Yamamoto.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Steve dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Steve fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Noir manages to avoid it.
A looping hook to the body misses from Noir. Steve does a little dance to reset his feet.
Noir tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Steve was well out of range. Poor timing from Noir.
Noir works Steve's body with a nice hook.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Noir has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Steve has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Noir has gone for a leg lock! Steve slips out almost immediately though and dives into Noir's guard.

Steve avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

A quick step to the side and Steve tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.

Noir stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Noir thuds his right hand into Steve's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Steve takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Noir throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Steve wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Steve slaps away a takedown attempt from Noir, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Jay Steve has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of James Noir.

That was a close second round but I would say that Jay Steve will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!
