Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Amaru Kawiwasulu (ranked 1432 p4p, 1193 weight class) and Rashid Elkhan (ranked 182 p4p, 153 weight class). Rashid Elkhan told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Amaru Kawiwasulu! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Rashid Elkhan! The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Bart Greer and Santiago Holmes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Elkhan throws the left hand but Kawiwasulu avoids the punch easily. Kawiwasulu misses with a right hand and Elkhan counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Kawiwasulu misses the jab. Kawiwasulu keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Kawiwasulu is looking to counter punch. Kawiwasulu misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Elkhan.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Elkhan! But no joy. Kawiwasulu scores with a sloppy right hand. Elkhan should have avoided that one. Kawiwasulu definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Kawiwasulu uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Elkhan. Kawiwasulu throws a body kick, spinning off balance and Elkhan counters with a left to the body. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kawiwasulu misses with a looping right. Elkhan throws a front kick aimed at Kawiwasulu's knee but Kawiwasulu avoids it well. Kawiwasulu throws out a loose jab but Elkhan uses good head movement to avoid it. Elkhan has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kawiwasulu throws a right hand that misses
and Elkhan counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Kawiwasulu misses with a right hand and Elkhan counters with a lovely straight right hand! Elkhan throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Kawiwasulu sees it coming and avoids it easily. Elkhan lands a really nice looking cross but Kawiwasulu seems unphased.
Today's fight clock is brought to you by... OOOH that's a huge shot by Elkhan! Kawiwasulu is in big trouble here - the ref steps in to save him and this one is all over!
