Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nakamura rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but jackson moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Nakamura throws a low kick, looking for jackson's leg but jackson calmly moves out of range.

jackson's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

jackson darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Nakamura pushes jackson off looking to stand but jackson dives back in and keeps control.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Nakamura tries to push off, looking to stand up, but jackson manages to move to mount!
Nakamura is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

jackson shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Nakamura tries to buck jackson off but he can't manage it.

Nakamura is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst jackson is controlling him.

jackson's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Nakamura stops jackson from passing to mount.
jackson tries to advance position but instead Nakamura slips a leg back in to half guard.

jackson is taking a breather. Nakamura says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
jackson stops Nakamura from getting back to his feet.
Nakamura is breathing heavily.
Nakamura pushes jackson off but jackson dives into side control.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
jackson creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


Nakamura jabbing away but nothing is landing.

It looks like alex jackson has been cut.
Nakamura throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

jackson closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
jackson is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.

jackson jumps into guard, dragging Nakamura to the mat.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now jackson is on top in guard.

jackson seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

jackson is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Nakamura wants to get back to his feet but jackson is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to alex jackson.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for jackson, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
