Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Hero Complex (ranked 6393 p4p, 4879 weight class) and Nick Holey (ranked 447 p4p, 406 weight class). Complex comes to the cage accompanied by Family Tradition by Hank Jr. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hero Complex!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 19 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Nick Holey!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Chris Downing and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Complex looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Complex sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

Holey bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Complex defending against the ground and pound.
Complex is trying to improve his position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Holey taking a break here but Complex is having none of it and regains half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Complex regains full guard. Nicely done.

Complex looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Complex is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Holey in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Complex definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Holey looking to pass the guard.
Holey wants to control from the top but Complex keeps moving.

Complex looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Holey should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Complex is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Complex has control of Holey's left arm, preventing Holey from doing any damage.
Holey trying to control the position from guard on top but Complex is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Complex had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Holey defends it easily.
Holey must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Complex looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Complex is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Holey wanted to stand there but Complex had control of the position.

Holey stands and throws Complex's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Complex is looking for a sweep.
Holey wants to stand but Complex is controlling his arm.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Complex regains half guard.
Complex regains full guard. Nicely done.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Hero Complex will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Holey shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Complex eats them both and turns towards Holey to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Holey fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Complex sprawls well initially but Holey persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Holey trying to control the action but Complex is working from the bottom.

Complex looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Holey trying to mount his opponent but Complex defends it.
Holey has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Holey is keen to just control but Complex is a slippery customer.

Complex is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Holey's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Holey's back!

Complex has the hooks in and he's looking for a rear naked choke here. Holey is defending well but eventually Complex manages to get an arm under the chin and he's locked on the RNC! Holey has no choice but to tap now! He does! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:30 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Hero Complex!
During a confident post fight interview, Hero Complex thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
