Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Aloysius Wiremu (ranked 4292 p4p, 19304 weight class) and Kenny Knight (ranked 540 p4p, 712 weight class). Wiremu comes to the cage accompanied by Billy Joel - The River of Dreams. Kenny Knight looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 41 - 32 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Aloysius Wiremu!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 18 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kenny Knight!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Stewart Dunkirk and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jab by Wiremu.
Knight takes a swing at Wiremu's ribcage but misses.
Wiremu thumps Knight with a low kick.
Wiremu throws a head kick that misses.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Wiremu - that will leave a mark!
Knight fails with an attempt to clinch.
Wiremu throws a quick counter head kick but Knight was just out of range.
Wiremu misses with the body kick
and Knight counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Knight gets to his feet - Wiremu follows without any prompting.
Knight avoids the head kick by Wiremu.
Nice cross by Wiremu.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Nice defenses there by Knight.
Wiremu throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
A swing and a miss from Wiremu.
Wiremu throws a body punch but Knight moves out of range.
Wiremu misses with a hook.
Knight with the counter takedown but Wiremu avoids it easily.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Wiremu fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Knight manages to avoid it.
Knight tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Wiremu misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
A head kick misses from Wiremu.
Knight rushes Wiremu and presses him up against the cage.
Knight blocks a body shot from Wiremu.
Knight has hold of one of Wiremu's legs. Wiremu is fighting the takedown attempt but Knight gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
My spies in Navy Street MMA inform me that Knight has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!
Knight drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Wiremu dives on top into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Knight is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Wiremu is aware though and is defending well.
Wiremu has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Knight to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Wiremu is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Knight pulls down on the head and he's put Wiremu to sleep! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Kenny Knight!
During a confident post fight interview, Kenny Knight thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
