Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Charlie Conover (ranked 2051 p4p, 2576 weight class) and Hero Primo (ranked 257 p4p, 315 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Charlie Conover! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 3 - 0 - 1, fighting out of New York, Hero Primo! The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, James Glass and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Conover cracks Primo with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Conover just misses with a punch to the body.
Conover digs a good body shot into Primo's ribs. Primo is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Primo misses with a hook. Conover ducked under it nicely. Conover throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Primo. Conover is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Primo. Primo waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Conover. Conover lands with an overhand left. Primo shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Conover but Conover pushes him off and we're back to square one. Primo ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Conover moves away. Conover throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Primo fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Conover was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Primo scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Primo working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Conover can't do much from the bottom here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Primo swings around for an armbar but Conover sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Primo's guard. Primo keeping moving, preventing Conover from controlling successfully. Primo has his foot on Conover's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Conover works his way back into a safe position though. Conover postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Primo looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Primo has his feet on Conover's thighs here. He's pushed Conover off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Conover screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Hero Primo! Hero Primo seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
