Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kill Shot Jackson (ranked 2411 p4p, 2760 weight class) and Ricardo Morales (ranked 335 p4p, 382 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Kill Shot Jackson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ricardo Morales! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jackson tries a head kick but it misses.
Nice body punch from Morales. A slow jab from Jackson misses its intended target. Morales cracks Jackson with a right hand to the side of the head. Morales keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
It looks like Kill Shot Jackson has been cut. Jackson tries to clinch but Morales moves away and Morales counters with a stiff right hand. Jackson is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Morales has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Jackson tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Morales takes a swing at Jackson's ribcage but misses. Jackson tries to counter by clinching up but Morales breaks away and moves out of range. Some bone on bone action there as Morales checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Jackson throws the left hand but Morales avoids the punch easily. Kill Shot Jackson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Morales lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Morales creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Morales makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Jackson prevents a body shot from Morales. Jackson with an attempt at a knee that misses.

Jackson has Morales pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Morales manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Jackson misses with a knee to the head. Morales tries to work over Jackson's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Jackson lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
Morales lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Jackson backwards. Morales's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. This has been an exciting period of action! Morales throws an overhand right that lands on Jackson's shoulder, as Jackson tries to avoid the shot.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Morales takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Morales looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Morales swats away the attempt to clinch by Jackson. Morales throws a looping overhand right but Jackson ducks down to avoid it. Jackson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Morales's waist but Morales gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Jackson off to one side. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kill Shot Jackson. That's going to take a lot out of him. Jackson tries to clinch up and Jackson takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Jackson finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Morales moves out of range of the body kick. Morales misses with a looping left. A head kick by Jackson misses and Morales counters with a crisp right hand that drops Jackson! Morales lets Jackson back up to his feet, looking for a finish! And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Ricardo Morales dominated that round. The cut man is working on Kill Shot Jackson's cut. That's time! Jackson's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. A head kick by Jackson misses and Morales counters with a big right hand! Oh Jackson is in trouble here! Morales follows up with more strikes and that's it! The ref has stopped it!
