Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nori Voluspa! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Pierre Bernard! The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Yves DeLean and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bernard closes this distance looking for a takedown but Voluspa circles away. Voluspa closes the distance and clinches. Voluspa gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Bernard regains guard.
Voluspa lands a couple of digs. Voluspa is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Bernard is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Voluspa is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Voluspa stops Bernard from standing up. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bernard looking to control but Voluspa passes into half guard.
Bernard is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Voluspa scores with a couple of nice shots.
That's one minute gone in the round. Voluspa working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
It looks like Pierre Bernard has been cut. Bernard wants to get back to full guard. Voluspa frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Voluspa tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Bernard is trying to escape the mount.
Bernard wants to try and get back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Voluspa lands a big elbow. Voluspa moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Bernard has worked his arm free - good work by Bernard!

That has opened up Pierre Bernard's cut even more. The referee asks Voluspa politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Voluspa prefers to stall for the moment though. Bernard is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Voluspa's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Bernard is looking to escape.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bernard wants to sweep but Voluspa has passed to side control! Voluspa just content to control the position. Voluspa grinds an elbow into Bernard's temple. Voluspa lands an elbow.
The cut above Pierre Bernard's eye is starting to cause him problems now. Voluspa tries to move to mount but Bernard blocks the move with his legs. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Voluspa lands an elbow.
Pierre Bernard's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Pierre Bernard's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Nori Voluspa! Our winner, Nori Voluspa, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
