Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Rimtas Kentas (ranked 1538 p4p, 2207 weight class) and Yoshinobu Tokugawa (ranked 207 p4p, 279 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rimtas Kentas!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Yoshinobu Tokugawa!
The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Eddie Farnsworth and Columbo Gatti.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tokugawa fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kentas manages to avoid it.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
The fighters circling - Tokugawa throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Yoshinobu Tokugawa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Kentas tries to score a power double leg takedown but Tokugawa sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Kentas somewhat.

Tokugawa throws a lazy right hand but Kentas sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Tokugawa lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Kentas fails with a takedown attempt.
Tokugawa does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Kentas shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Tokugawa manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Kentas looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Tokugawa is defending well. Kentas quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Tokugawa has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Kentas celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Rimtas Kentas!
Rimtas Kentas decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
