Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Shayne Miller (ranked 4571 p4p, 6084 weight class) and Jean Jacques (ranked 515 p4p, 588 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Shayne Miller! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Jean Jacques! The judges for this bout are William Peck, Yves DeLean and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jacques darts in looking for a takedown but Miller gets double underhooks and turns Jacques into the cage. Miller clinches up with Jacques and pushes him back against the cage. Miller breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Miller shoots for a takedown but Jacques saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Jacques changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Miller looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jacques tries to advance to mount but Miller denies him. Jacques working away. Jacques has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Miller throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Miller instigates a clinch. Jacques has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Miller avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Jacques throws a head punch that misses.

Miller is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace. Miller seems to have come into the fight with the intention of avoiding any damage in the clinch, rather than actually showing any aggression. Jacques gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Jacques trying to control but Miller is working from the bottom. Jacques showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Jacques stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Miller swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jacques looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Jacques wants to control from the top but Miller keeps moving. Miller throws some sloppy strikes off his back.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Jacques tried to score with a low kick but Miller checks it. Miller half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Miller tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. A combination from Miller does no damage. Miller shoots for a takedown but Jacques saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Jacques shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Jacques showed some decent athleticism there. Miller tries to kick Jacques off in order to stand up. Jacques Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control. Jacques is staying tight to Miller's torso, preventing him from escaping. Jacques trying to control the position but Miller is working away. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Miller is trying to control Jacques's posture but Jacques avoids it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Miller is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control. Miller tries to bench press Jacques off him but Jacques keeps the position. Miller on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Miller tries to get out of the position. Jacques cracks Miller with a big elbow. Miller wants to control but Jacques postures up. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Miller controls the position for a moment. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Miller tries to get back to half guard but can't. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Jean Jacques will probably get the nod. That's time! Miller's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Jacques is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Jacques is working for takedown but Miller is calmly controlling the position for now. Jacques looking to slow down the pace here. Miller fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Jacques tries to avoid it but Miller manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Jacques to the ground. Jacques escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Jacques's coach down at DK MMA was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Jacques's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Miller drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Jacques pushes Miller off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. This has been an exciting period of action! Miller misses with a wild combination.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Miller takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Miller wants to control but Jacques postures up. Miller manages to work his way to half guard, despite Jacques's best efforts. Jacques works his way into side control. Jacques tries for a kimura but Miller is defending well. Miller is trying to control Jacques's posture but Jacques avoids it. Jacques cracks Miller with a big right hand but Miller just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jacques in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Miller trying to remain calm as Jacques controls from the top position. Jacques laying and praying for a moment but Miller takes advantage and regains half guard. Miller trying to control but Jacques postures up.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Jean Jacques showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round! Miller shoots in but no luck this time. Jacques shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Miller napping and manages to drive through into side control! Miller is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Miller is working hard here to advance position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Miller is not content to let Jacques control the position. Miller is looking for a sweep.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jacques tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Jacques has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Jacques is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Miller knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Jacques moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. Jacques decides to take the fight back to the feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Miller shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Jacques but Jacques pushes him off and we're back to square one. Miller looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Jacques! Miller is looking to take a break and control but Jacques is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Miller thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Miller trying to control the action but Jacques is working from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jacques tries to buck Miller off but Miller is having none of it. Jacques manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Miller wants to take a breather but Jacques is having none of it. Miller missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Miller prevents Jacques from standing back up.
Jacques is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Miller's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Miller's back!

Miller remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Jacques will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke! Jacques really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Miller. Miller is trying to stand back up. Jacques controlling well, preventing Miller from escaping the position.

Miller manages to get to his feet, escaping the difficult position.
