Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Matt Flynn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rhys Davies (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Davies has chosen God Save The Queen (Sex Pistols) as his entrance music. Matt Flynn looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

The judges for this bout are James Glass, Richard Clark and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davies looks to land a combination but Flynn avoids it well.
Rhys Davies seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Davies throws a right hand that Flynn ducks under and follows up with a left that Flynn also avoids with ease.

Davies rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Flynn moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Horrible takedown by Flynn or perhaps it was just good defense by Davies which made him look bad.

Flynn closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Davies pushes Flynn away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Flynn gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Davies is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Flynn has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Davies takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.

A big shot lands for Flynn! That's hurt Davies! Will he recover? Flynn fires away with more strikes and the referee has to step in to stop the fight!
