Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Summa Sector (ranked 98 p4p, 278 weight class) and CJ Tripp (ranked 14 p4p, 46 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sector cracks Tripp with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Tripp throws the kick towards the body but Sector avoids it.
As Tripp tries to get set, Sector tries to push him back and clinch up but Tripp manages to avoid the attempt.
No joy there for Tripp, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Tripp lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Tripp changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.

It looks like CJ Tripp has been cut.

Sector looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Tripp connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

Tripp ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Sector moves away.
Tripp looks to land a left hand but Sector moved out of range nicely.
Sector lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.

That has opened up CJ Tripp's cut even more.
Tripp on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Sector. Sector obviously looking to wear him down.

Sector darts in trying to clinch
and Tripp counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Sector is lucky that one didn't land flush.

Sector gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Tripp tries to break the clinch but Sector is controlling the position.
Tripp blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Sector lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Tripp backwards.
Tripp is trying to break the clinch but Sector has him pressed against the cage.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Sector creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Sector misses with a hook to the ribs.

Tripp breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Tripp tries to bum rush Sector with a series of wild strikes but Sector uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Sector throws a hook to the side of Tripp's head but Tripp sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Sector lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Summa Sector will probably get the nod.

That's time! Sector's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Sector stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Sector tries to close the distance and clinch but Tripp swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Sector throws a big counter combination but Tripp scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.

A punch lands to the side of Tripp 's head but he takes it in his stride.

The cut above CJ Tripp's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Tripp throws a solid leg kick but Sector takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Tripp.

Tripp walks into a straight right hand from Sector.
Good leg kick by Tripp.
Sector avoids the body shot from Tripp.
Sector feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Tripps jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Sector cracks Tripp with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Tripp looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Sector finish him?
Tripp fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Sector is out of range.

A nice inside leg kick there by Tripp. That's going to slow Sector down.

CJ Tripp's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

A less than humble Summa Sector misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
