Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Willian Wallace (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Quid (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Quid is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by New Edition - Candy Girl. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Johnny Quid!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, James Ackerman and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wallace looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Quid is fending him off so far but Wallace persists. Nope, Quid circles away and we're back to standing.

Wallace gets caught flat footed, as Quid shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Wallace keeping moving, preventing Quid from controlling successfully.

Wallace looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Wallace looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Wallace had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Quid is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Wallace Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Quid's back instead.

Wallace is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Quid is defending well though. Wallace let's go of the attempt for now.
Quid looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.
Quid rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.

Quid wants to control but Wallace is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Quid gets full guard.
Quid not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Wallace is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Quid is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Quid has escaped and now he's on top!

Wallace is looking for a triangle but Quid pushes his legs off easily.
Wallace is breathing heavily.

Quid drops back looking for a leg! Wallace is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Wallace manages to kick Quid off! Quid jumps back into Wallace's guard.

Quid turns into Wallace and is now in his guard.

Quid with a flurry of punches that miss.
Quid makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Wallace escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Quid gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Quid wants to control from the top but Wallace keeps moving.
Quid stands and throws Wallace's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Quid tries for a kimura but Wallace is defending well.
Quid tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
Quid wants to lay and pray for a moment but Wallace keeps working.
Wallace is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Wallace is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
Wallace manages to get back to half guard.

Quid is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Wallace is just riding it out for now. Quid eventually gives up the hold.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Quid wants to take a breather but Wallace is having none of it.
Quid not landing any meaningful shots this time.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Quid works his foot free and advances to mount.
Quid connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Wallace is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Quid working for a guillotine from mount but Wallace is in no mood to give up.
Wallace is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Quid has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Wallace regains half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Johnny Quid dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Wallace doesn't succeed with the takedown

Quid wants to control but Wallace is keeping him busy.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Quid is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Wallace is not content to let Quid control the position.
It looks like Quid is going to stand back up.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Quid wants to control but Wallace is keeping him busy.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Quid connects with a nice short shot to Wallace's temple.

Quid looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Quid is trying to work for a kimura but Wallace is defending well.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Wallace moves into full guard.
Quid passes easily into side control. Nice work.

Quid has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Wallace is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Quid yanks on the arm and Wallace is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Quid.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:40 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Johnny Quid!
