Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rafael Da Silva (ranked 25247 p4p, 5971 weight class) and Earl Walker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rafael Da Silva has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Rafael Da Silva! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Earl Walker! The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Josh West and Roger Salmon.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Da Silva tries for a takedown but Walker circles away easily and Walker moves into the clinch. Walker escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Walker fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Da Silva to the ground. Walker is now in Da Silva's guard. Walker distracts Da Silva with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Walker wants to get up but he can't break Da Silva's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Walker not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Da Silva working a defensive guard here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Walker makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Walker working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Walker thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Da Silva wants to sweep here but Walker controlling him for the moment. Walker content to stall in guard here. Walker wants to stand but Da Silva is controlling his posture from full guard. Da Silva keeping full guard, as Walker tries to pass.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Da Silva is trying to hold Walker in close to prevent damage but Walker has managed to pass into half guard.
Walker is nestled in close to Da Silva, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Da Silva wants to get back to his feet. Walker has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Walker trying to mount his opponent but Da Silva defends it. Da Silva wants to control but Walker is keeping busy.
Da Silva is staying active underneath Walker, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Walker looks for the body kick but Da Silva saw that one coming.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Walker throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Da Silva was covering up waiting for the punch and Walker finishes the takedown easily into guard. Da Silva wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Walker manages to pass to side control. Da Silva punching from the bottom.
Walker is trying to control. Da Silva wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Da Silva is looking to improve his position.
Da Silva is looking to get back to full guard here but Walker has managed to pass to side control instead.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Walker tries to stand but Da Silva is controlling his head. Walker lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Walker is putting a hurting on Da Silva here, landing some big shots from side control. Da Silva wants to control but Walker postures up. Walker landing strikes. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Walker lands some shots froms side control. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Earl Walker dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Walker throws a head kick but Da Silva moves out of range.
Walker tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Da Silva half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Walker swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Da Silva throws a big counter combination but Walker scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. Da Silva tries to score a power double leg takedown but Walker sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Da Silva somewhat. Da Silva is trying hard to land a takedown here. Walker sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Da Silva tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Walker swivels and escapes. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rafael Da Silva. That's going to take a lot out of him. Walker circles away from the clinch attempt.
Walker has been the more effective fighter overall so far. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Walker stuffs the takedown attempt from Da Silva. Da Silva gets slowly back to his feet. Walker shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Da Silva is trying to defend but Walker finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
That's one minute gone in the round. Walker takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Walker working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Walker trying to control the pace. Walker is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Walker slips a nice elbow through Da Silva's hands, connecting with Da Silva's forehead. Walker is figuring out what he wants to do next.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Da Silva is looking for a sweep. Walker is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Walker performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Walker seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Walker keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Walker wants to pass to mount but Da Silva is defending the position. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Walker looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Walker tries to score a power double leg takedown but Da Silva sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Walker somewhat. Walker has a takedown stuffed. Nice sprawl there from Da Silva as Walker shoots in. Da Silva seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance. Horrible takedown attempt by Da Silva or perhaps it was just good defense by Walker, which made it look bad.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Walker throws a head kick that misses. Walker fails to land the takedown. Walker is breathing heavily. Da Silva goes for a double leg but Walker avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Walker continues to drive forward. Da Silva jumps guard but Walker stands there with Da Silva around his waist. Da Silva gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Walker pulls guard effortlessly. Da Silva stops Walker from standing up. Walker tries to land a sweep but no joy. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Da Silva trying to control the position from guard on top but Walker is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Walker is pulling down on Da Silva's head. It's preventing any offense from Da Silva, at least for the moment. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Earl Walker showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round! Walker keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Da Silva fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Da Silva throws a leg kick and Walker counters with a shoot takedown. Da Silva fights it but they end up in guard. Walker has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Da Silva is proving hard to escape from. Walker is working Da Silva over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Walker stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Da Silva swivels though and keeps the full guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Walker passes Da Silva's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Walker seems to be working for a kimura but Da Silva defends the submission attempt. Walker sitting and controlling from the half guard. Walker is looking to take a break and control but Da Silva is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Walker in particular looking to stall.

Da Silva is trying to maintain the position but Walker is very close to passing his half guard. Walker wants to work for an arm triangle but Da Silva is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Walker scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Walker working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Walker lands strikes from half guard.
It looks like Rafael Da Silva has been cut. Da Silva manages to get to full guard.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Walker fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Da Silva manages to avoid it. The fight stays on the outside here - Da Silva looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Walker has managed to clinch.
Da Silva blocks an elbow strike.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Walker has Da Silva pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Walker pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Da Silva tumbling to the mat - Walker dives into Da Silva's guard. Walker trying to control the position from guard on top but Da Silva is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Walker controlling from the top position. Walker makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Rafael Da Silva has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Earl Walker is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Earl Walker has got the better of the ground game so far. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Walker is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
And that's the end of the fight! Earl Walker comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Walker has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
