Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Reynard Frederick (ranked 3658 p4p, 3526 weight class) and Waramunt Haber Jr (ranked 348 p4p, 337 weight class). Waramunt Haber Jr will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Reynard Frederick!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Waramunt Haber Jr!
The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, David Hoff and Bart Greer.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Frederick looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Haber Jr tries to get to full guard but Frederick has control of the leg.
Frederick seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Haber Jr does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Frederick not landing any meaningful shots this time.

Frederick is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Haber Jr is just riding it out for now. Frederick eventually gives up the hold.

Frederick is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Haber Jr doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Frederick.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Haber Jr can do anything to dispel that myth.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Haber Jr uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Frederick.
Frederick shoots for a double leg takedown but Haber Jr sprawls well. He's pushed Frederick's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Haber Jr has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.

Haber Jr fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Frederick manages to avoid it.

Frederick has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Frederick seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Haber Jr for as long as he can get away with.
Waramunt Haber Jr has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Reynard Frederick.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Frederick, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

After the fight, Reynard Frederick was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
