The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Calderwood shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Stankov connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Calderwood shoots and misses
letting Stankov counter with a right hand.

Calderwood fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Stankov to the ground. Calderwood is now in Stankov's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Calderwood dives in and grabs Stankov's left leg, looking for a takedown. Stankov pushes down on Calderwood 's head and hops out.
A countering left hand to the body from Stankov misses.
Stankov stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Stankov wants it to stay on the feet.
Stankov steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Calderwood .

and Stankov cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Tam Calderwood seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Stankov connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

and Stankov counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

A head kick from Stankov lands but Calderwood takes it in his stride.

Calderwood shoots in looking for a takedown. Stankov tries to sprawl out of it but Calderwood keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Stankov manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Calderwood is looking light on his feet compared to last time was saw him fight.

Stankov lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.

Calderwood avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Calderwood takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.

Calderwood changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Stankov tries to avoid it but Calderwood manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Stankov to the ground. Stankov escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Stankov unleashes a big counter combination but Calderwood bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Borislaw Stankov seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Calderwood fails with the takedown
enabling Stankov to counter with a crisp jab.
Stankov works the jab nicely.
Calderwood shoots in for a takedown but Stankov shows good takedown defense.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Stankov lands a hook that stumbles Calderwood back into the cage. Stankov follows up with a straight and another hook that land right on the button, dropping Calderwood to the canvas! Stankov pounces and lands several unanswered shots - Calderwood has had enough and taps out! This one is all over!
