Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kimmy Tune (ranked 2795 p4p, 3500 weight class) and Rice Flair (ranked 343 p4p, 422 weight class). Rice Flair is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kimmy Tune! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Rice Flair! The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Alec Ball and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tune closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Tune wants to lay and pray for a moment but Flair keeps working. Tune is trying to get an arm triangle but Flair is defending well. Tune throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Flair tries to bench press Tune off him but Tune keeps the position. The referee asks Tune politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Tune prefers to stall for the moment though. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Flair can't do much from the bottom here. Flair is looking for a sweep.
That's one minute gone in the round. Flair sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Flair wants to improve his position but Tune is controlling well.
Tune wants to pass the guard but Flair is defending well. Tune wants to take a breather but Flair is having none of it. Flair looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Tune is working for a kimura but Flair is defending it quite comfortably.
Flair is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Tune is thwarting Flair's attempts to control the position.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Flair is looking to clinch but Tune is avoiding it.
Flair misses with a wild body shot. Tune misses with a double jab
and Flair counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Tune is not content to let Flair control the position. Tune wants to get back to full guard. Tune keeping hold of Flair's head, controlling as best he can.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tune is trying to stand.

Tune is controlling an arm, preventing Flair from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.
Tune wants to control but Flair is having none of it. Flair is working for a guillotine from mount but Tune frees his head quite easily.
Flair tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Flair scoring with strikes but Tune is staying in there. Tune prevents Flair from taking his back. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Rice Flair will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action! Tune misses with a takedown and Flair counters with a nice body shot. Flair misses with a hook. Sloppy strikes from Flair. Those never looked like landing. Tune dives in and grabs Flair's left leg, looking for a takedown. Flair pushes down on Tune's head and hops out. Flair takes a swing at Tune's ribcage but misses. Flair swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Flair misses with a looping right. Flair throws a predictable looking body shot
and Tune counters with a straight right hand. Flair has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Flair has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Flair tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Tune was well out of range. Poor timing from Flair. Tune fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Flair sprawls well initially but Tune persists and gets the takedown into half guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Tune is trying to control the action in half guard but Flair is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Flair is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Tune's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Tune's back! Flair tries to get the hooks in deep but Tune pushed the leg off.
That's one minute gone in the round. Flair slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.
Tune prevents Flair from getting a body triangle. Tune is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Flair gets his way!

So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.
Rice Flair has got the better of the ground game so far. Tune trying to control but not successfully. Tune tries to roll but Flair sticks to his back.
Tune trying to survive by controlling the hands. Flair has the hooks in. Tune is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.

Flair has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Tune has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
Flair looking for the choke from the back. Flair is looking to control Tune but Tune is wriggling around and keeping busy. Flair has the hooks in. Tune is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted. Flair gets his hands free as Tune looks to control. Tune defending nicely against the rear naked choke attempt.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Tune is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet. The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Flair's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.

Rice Flair showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.

Flair fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Tune manages to avoid it. Tune pulls out of a head kick attempt.
The fighters circling - Flair throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Tune keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Tune changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Tune rushes Flair and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Flair misses with a punch to the body.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tune tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Flair lands a nice shot to the body. Flair jumps guard and drags Tune to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Tune looking to sit in guard and control but Flair gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Tune keeping moving, preventing Flair from controlling successfully. Flair tries to free his leg and advance position but Tune is retaining full guard. Flair stops Tune from standing up. Tune looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Flair is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Flair wants to control from the top but Tune keeps moving. Tune is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Flair controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Tune keeping full guard, as Flair tries to pass.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Flair swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Tune seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance. A momentary lapse in concentration from Flair enables Tune to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Flair manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Flair looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Tune has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Tune stands up and waves to Flair to follow him. Tune shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Flair manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Flair is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Tune defends well. Tune pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Flair is keeping the position for now. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but Kimmy Tune did the better work so I'd imagine he'll take it. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Flair stuffs the takedown. Tune is trying hard to land a takedown here. Flair sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kimmy Tune. That's going to take a lot out of him. Flair throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Tune on the side of the head. Flair clinches up with Tune and pushes him back against the cage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Flair tries to work over Tune's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Flair lands a right hand. Flair jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Tune walks away with a smile on his face. Flair gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Tune shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Flair defends it nicely. It's got to the stage where if one of these guys blows hard enough, the other might fall over.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tune keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Flair. Tune looked to counter with a high kick but didn't commit. Flair looks to score with a jab to the body but Tune is just out of range. Flair throws a right hand that Tune ducks under and follows up with a left that Tune also avoids with ease. Flair lands with a nice body punch. Excellent takedown into side control there by Tune. Flair is looking for a sweep. Flair is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tune takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Tune blocks the strikes from Flair.
Flair works his way to full guard. Good work. Flair is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Tune defends well. Tune slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Flair escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Tune gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Flair is looking for a triangle but Tune pushes his legs off easily.

Flair keeping control of the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Tune seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Rice Flair dominated that fourth round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round! Tune throws a head kick that misses. Flair ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Tune moves away. Flair throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Tune fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Tune gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Tune - that will leave a mark!
Flair throws a body punch but Tune moves out of range. Flair misses the shot to the body. Rice Flair seems to be getting the better of the standup. Tune has closed the distance and engaged Flair in a clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tune pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Flair closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Tune's guard. Flair wants to control from the top but Tune keeps moving. Both of our modern day gladiators look out of it here - a gruelling 5 rounds of action taking it's toll on them, no doubt. Flair passes easily into side control. Nice work.

Flair trying to control the action but Tune is working from the bottom. Flair is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Tune has escaped the position, nice work there. Rice Flair is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. You can see the frustration on Tune's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Tune throws Flair to one side and escapes! Flair misses the shot to the body. Flair swings for the body but Tune moves out of range.
Tune closes the distance but Flair moves to the side and Flair counters with a left to the body. Flair misses with a wild body shot. Flair fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Tune manages to avoid it.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Tune is looking for a triangle but Flair pushes his legs off easily.
And that's the end of the fight! Rice Flair comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Flair has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
