Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Hou Shang Lou (ranked 6558 p4p, 25141 weight class) and Andy Trance (ranked 313 p4p, 338 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Trance's choice of entrance music: No Time To Die. Hou Shang Lou has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Hou Shang Lou!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Andy Trance!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Alec Ball and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Trance throws a right and a left that Lou avoids nicely.
Lou wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.

Lou has closed the distance and engaged Trance in a clinch.
Lou trying to land knees to the body.
Lou tries to score a body lock takedown but Trance shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Trance blocking some punches.

Lou gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Trance tries to kick Lou off in order to stand up. Lou Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
Lou in side control, just content to control the action for now.
Lou misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Lou controlling the position from side mount.

Lou thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

That's one minute gone in the round.
The ground and pound from Lou seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Trance really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lou. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Lou thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Trance is not content to let Lou control the position.

Lou is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Trance is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Lou working the ground and pound.
Lou lands a nice forearm strike.
Trance is trying to escape the position but Lou is controlling the position.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Trance can do anything to dispel that myth.
Lou wants to control but Trance is keeping him busy.
Trance is in a bad spot here and he knows it... just holding on for now.
Lou throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.

Lou cracks Trance with a big elbow.
Lou is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Lou landing with strikes to the head and body from side control.
Lou is putting a hurting on Trance here, landing some big shots from side control.
Lou grinds an elbow into Trance's temple.
Lou has knee on belly and moves into mount.
Lou lands a big shot there that rocks Trance but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Lou trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Lou looking to control and managing it successfully.

Lou raining down shots from the mount!
Trance wants to hold on but Lou pushes him away.
Lou controlling the position easily from mount.
Lou in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.

Trance is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Lou drops a big elbow. That's hurt Trance! More shots from Lou and the ref steps in! The fight is over!
