Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Dwight Echoils!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Kento Killa!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Jonathan Paton and Dean Styles.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Echoils loads up on a big right hand but Killa slips the punch.
Killa lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Echoils with a nice cross.
It looks like Kento Killa has been cut.
Echoils clinches.
A head punch on the inside from Killa fails to land.
Killa misses with some punches.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Killa has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Echoils lands a left hand that snaps the head of Killa backwards.
Echoils pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Killa tries for a takedown but Echoils circles away easily
and Echoils counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Killa wants to clinch
and Echoils counters with a right hand to the body.
Killa slips a jab from Echoils.
Killa takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Echoils cracks a nice hook into Killa's ribs.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Killa rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Echoils counters with a nice uppercut.

Jab, jab by Echoils - just one landing.
Killa gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Echoils counters with a straight right hand.
Killa shoots and misses
enabling Echoils to counter with a crisp jab.
Dwight Echoils has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kento Killa.

Killa doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Echoils counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Echoils forces Killa back against the cage and clinches.
Echoils breaks the clinch.
Echoils scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Killa displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Echoils throws out the jab.

Echoils comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

and Echoils counters with a straight right hand.

and Echoils cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Killa tries to clinch but Echoils moves away
enabling Echoils to counter with a crisp jab.
Killa takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Echoils with a hook.
That has opened up Kento Killa's cut even more.
Echoils looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Echoils closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Echoils slowing the pace effectively.
Echoils pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Echoils is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Echoils thows a left - swing and a miss!
Killa tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Echoils makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Echoils is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Killa.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
A jab lands there for Echoils.
Killa slips a straight right by Echoils.
Echoils ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Echoils misses the shot to the body.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

and Echoils counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Echoils lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Echoils scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Killa doesn't seem bothered though.
Killa darts in trying to clinch
letting Echoils counter with a right hand.
Good exchange - Echoils coming out on top.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Echoils lands a head shot.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Dwight Echoils dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Kento Killa's cut.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Echoils connects with a looping right hand.
Killa shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Echoils scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Killa manages to mount him!
Echoils is working to get back to half guard.
Killa looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Killa thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!

Killa looking to ground and pound but Echoils is blocking nicely.

You get the feeling that Echoils really doesn't like being in this position too much.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Echoils is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Killa locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Echoils is forced to tap!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:33 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Kento Killa!
