Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bout Trader (ranked 4742 p4p, 5762 weight class) and Rein Carnate (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Trader's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Genesis. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Bout Trader!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Rein Carnate!
The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Santiago Holmes and Sandra Marshall.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Trader tries to clinch but Carnate moves out of range.
Carnate misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Trader tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Carnate manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Trader gets caught napping as Carnate dives in and scores a takedown. Trader manages to retain guard.
Carnate drops back looking for a leg! Trader is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Trader manages to kick Carnate off! Carnate jumps back into Trader's guard.
Trader is striking off his back. Carnate thinks nothing of it though and passes easily into half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Trader is looking to control Carnate's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Trader avoid being mounted?

Carnate slips a nice elbow through Trader's hands, connecting with Trader's forehead.

Carnate is nestled in close to Trader, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Trader tries to roll over but Carnate keeps him under control.

Carnate is working for a kimura but Trader is defending it quite comfortably.
Carnate wants to pass to mount but Trader is defending the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Carnate with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Trader manages to escape and get back to his feet!

Trader displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Carnate.

Trader looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Carnate is fending him off so far but Trader persists. Nope, Carnate circles away and we're back to standing.

Carnate has closed the distance and engaged Trader in a clinch.
We've been informed that Carnate has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.

Trader tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Carnate smiles and moves away.
Carnate shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Trader is trying to defend but Carnate finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Carnate landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Trader is trying to maintain the position but Carnate is very close to passing his half guard.
Trader wants to improve his position but Carnate is controlling well.

Trader can't do much from the bottom here.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Carnate tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Carnate has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Trader stops Carnate from passing to mount.
Carnate landing with strikes to the head and body from side control.
It looks like Bout Trader has been cut.
Trader looks to move to half guard but instead Carnate has passed into mount! Damn!
Carnate sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Carnate is standing up, even though he is in mount.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Rein Carnate showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The cut man is working on Bout Trader's cut.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
Trader will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
