Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ubungu Bamboo Face (ranked 1508 p4p, 3215 weight class) and Lyle Alzado (ranked 47 p4p, 98 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ubungu Bamboo Face!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 26 - 28 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Lyle Alzado!
The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Felipe Paraventi and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bamboo Face has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Alzado uses from the top position.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Bamboo Face closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Bamboo Face jumps guard but Alzado turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Alzado creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Bamboo Face is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Alzado gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Alzado lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Bamboo Face backwards.

A close round but Lyle Alzado will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Alzado has managed to clinch.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Alzado lands a body punch in the clinch.
Bamboo Face is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Alzado pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Alzado using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Bamboo Face has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Bamboo Face's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Alzado lunges at Bamboo Face with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Bamboo Face's hand.
It looks like Ubungu Bamboo Face has been cut.
Bamboo Face tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Alzado defends well and Bamboo Face ends up having to push Alzado into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
As Bamboo Face backs off Alzado throws a huge counter combo but Bamboo Face manages to avoid it all.
Alzado doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Bamboo Face gets control of Alzado's arms and successfully pulls guard. Bamboo Face will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Alzado accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
