Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 29 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mark Lesnar!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nathan Leal!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Steve Montenegro and Chad Campbell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Lesnar throws a body punch but Leal moves out of range.
Lesnar lands a body shot.
The crowd cheers as Lesnar lands an impressive looking overhand right. Leal doesn't seem phased though.
Lesnar throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Leal has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Leal there as he acknowledges the shot.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lesnar tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Leal was well out of range. Poor timing from Lesnar.
It seemed like Leal was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Lesnar lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.

Lesnar misses with a hook.
We've been told by Lesnar's head coaches at whitey's gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Lesnar connects with a body shot that sends Leal's belly button to the back.

Lesnar manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Leal on his heels. He'll look to pass Leal's guard now, I'm sure.
Lesnar lands a couple of digs.
Lesnar missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Lesnar postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Leal can do anything to dispel that myth.

Lesnar is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Lesnar is in close to Leal's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Lesnar chips away with some ground and pound.
Lesnar loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Lesnar stops Leal from standing up.

That's time! Lesnar's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Lesnar uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Lesnar digs a good hook to Leal's body.

Lesnar closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Leal's guard.
Leal has momentary wrist control but Lesnar slips an elbow through the middle.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Leal is looking to stand up but Lesnar isn't so interested in that idea.
Lesnar not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Mark Lesnar overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Lesnar stands up over Leal, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Leal escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Lesnar gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Leal is on top in guard.

Leal wants to get up but he can't break Lesnar's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Leal drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Lesnar dives on top into guard.

Lesnar works over Leal with some ground and pound from guard.
Leal can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Lesnar controls the pace.
Lesnar stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Leal swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Leal wants to stand up but Lesnar is controlling him.
Lesnar postures up and lands a big shot to Leal's brow.
Lesnar postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Lesnar lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Lesnar is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Leal can do to turn this around?
Lesnar distracts Leal with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lesnar pushing down on Leal's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!


Lesnar moves into range and clinches up with Leal.
Leal tries to pull guard but Lesnar forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Lesnar throws a head punch that misses.
Lesnar leaning his opponent against the cage.
Lesnar misses with a punch to the body.
Lesnar content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Leal letting Lesnar take a breather here.

Lesnar lands a hook that snaps the head of Leal backwards.
Lesnar tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Leal's elbow.
Leal jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Lesnar walks away with a smile on his face. Leal gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

A decent looking cross lands there for Lesnar.
Lesnar tries to clinch there but Leal circles away.
Lesnar fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Leal looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Leal takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Leal takes a shot to the body in his stride.

Lesnar is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Leal's half guard.
Leal has hold of Lesnar's hands but Lesnar slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Lesnar working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Lesnar winds up and cracks Leal with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Leal wants to get back to full guard.
Lesnar looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Lesnar slips a nice elbow through Leal's hands, connecting with Leal's forehead.
Nathan Leal has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Lesnar landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Leal is looking to improve his position.
Lesnar looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

And that's the end of the fight!
Mark Lesnar showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Lesnar has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
