Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Ryo Chonen (ranked 3657 p4p, 4114 weight class) and Jorge Gamebred (ranked 205 p4p, 229 weight class). Jorge Gamebred will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gamebred keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Chonen shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Gamebred throws a hook but Chonen blocks it.
Decent striking displayed by Gamebred there.
Gamebred moves away from the strike by Chonen.
Gamebred throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Chonen sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Chonen jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Chonen has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Finch Gym in the buildup to the fight.
Gamebred displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Chonen throws out the jab.

Gamebred dips to his left and cracks Chonen with an uppercut!
Gamebred has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Chonen is landing a low percentage of strikes.

Gamebred feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Chonens jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Chonen moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Gamebred might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Gamebred is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.

Chonen scores with a sloppy right hand. Gamebred should have avoided that one.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Chonen lands a left and a right that send Gamebred crashing to the mat, dazed. Chonen thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

It looks like Jorge Gamebred has been cut.
Gamebred wants to clinch up but Chonen keeps it at a distance.
Gamebred is still on wobbly legs! Can Chonen finish him?
Gamebred lands a slapping body shot.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Gamebred ducks under a wild hook from Chonen.
Gamebred switches off momentarily and Chonen cracks him with a monster right hand! Gamebred topples backwards and makes a semi conscious attempt to cover up, as Chonen dives in to land one more shot, before the referee has time to call the fight. What a finish by Chonen!
