Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 33 - 22 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Emre Hussain!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Darren Weeks!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Cecil Peabody and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hussain ducks straight into an uppercut from Weeks and tumbles to the canvas! It’s a flash knockdown though - Hussain manages to regain guard straight away.
It looks like Emre Hussain has been cut.
Hussain pushes Weeks off and scrambles back to his feet.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Hussain moves into the clinch.
Weeks has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Hussain avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Hussain has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Hussain wants to break free but Weeks has control.
Hussain tries to break free but Weeks pushes him back against the cage.
Hussain's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Weeks misses with the head strike.
Weeks swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Hussain blocks an uppercut.
Hussain tries to break the clinch but Weeks is controlling the position.
Hussain breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Hussain comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Hussain avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
A big head kick from Weeks and Hussain is sent sprawling to the canvas!
Hussain is rocked!
Weeks gets to his feet and stands over Hussain, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Hussain felt that one! Weeks unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Hussain from any more punishment!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Darren Weeks!
