Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Nikolai Tsavieva (ranked 2531 p4p, 2149 weight class) and Jamal Adams (ranked 317 p4p, 271 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 8 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Nikolai Tsavieva! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jamal Adams! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tsavieva misses with a hook. Adams moves out of range as Tsavieva strikes. Adams with the counter takedown but Tsavieva avoids it easily. Tsavieva misses with an uppercut. Adams saw that one coming. Adams lands a nice looking body kick. Adams throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Tsavieva tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Adams is in Tsavieva's guard. Tsavieva throws his legs up looking for a submission but Adams uses it to pass to side control.
Tsavieva trying his best to control but Adams has mounted him. Adams pushing the pace here, looking to move to his opponents back and work for a finish.
Tsavieva tries to lock up and control but Adams gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Tsavieva keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Adams takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Let's hope that Adams has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Adams fails to take his opponent's back. Tsavieva is looking to improve his position but Adams isn't that keen on the idea. Adams takes a little breather and maintains the position. Jamal Adams dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Adams, as that shot connected.

letting Adams counter with a right hand. Adams throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Adams lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Adams closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Tsavieva's guard. Tsavieva throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

Jamal Adams showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round! Adams looks to score with a jab to the body but Tsavieva is just out of range. Adams throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Adams on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Adams has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Tsavieva cracks Adams with an open hand slap. Tsavieva lands a nice shot that snaps Adams's head back.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Tsavieva sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Tsavieva is trying to control but can't.

Adams gets his hands free as Tsavieva looks to control. Adams is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.

He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.
Our spies down at at Outlier Martial Arts inform us that Adams has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off? The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Tsavieva tries to escape but he's let his defenses down in doing so and Adams has slipped in the rear naked choke! Oh, that's tiiiiiiiiight! Tsavieva is tapping! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
