Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Sandra Marshall and Dirk Anderson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Loader throws a right hand that Vick ducks under and follows up with a left that Vick also avoids with ease.
Vick is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Loader.
Vick on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Loader goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Vick takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Vick has a takedown stuffed.
Vick looks to clinch
and Loader counters with a stiff right hand.
Loader blocks the body kick.
Vick fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Loader is out of range.
Loader misses with a jab, cross combination.
Vick avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Loader throws a nice looking combination but Vick bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Horrible takedown attempt by Vick or perhaps it was just good defense by Loader, which made it look bad.

Chucky Loader seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Loader shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Vick eats them both and turns towards Loader to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Vick uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Loader.

Loader has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Vick is landing a low percentage of strikes.

Loader lands with a nice combination. Vick backs away looking to recover.
Loader takes the fight into the clinch.
Loader is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Vick is defending well for now.

Loader throws a right and a left that both miss.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Loader scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Loader darts in and clinches Vick up against the cage.
Loader breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Vick takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Loader missing with a left hand there. Vick was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Loader misses with a lunging right hand
and Vick counters with a single leg into guard. Loader didn't expect that.
Vick trying to control but Loader is working from the bottom.
Vick prevents Loader from getting back to his feet.
Loader keeping moving, preventing Vick from controlling successfully.
Loader really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Vick. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Vick lands a couple of digs.
Vick wants to pass the guard but Loader is keeping the position.
Vick throws a big right hand that misses.
Vick got a little sloppy there for a moment and Loader has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Vick has managed to get both his arms back between Loader's legs - danger averted.
Vick keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Loader's head.
Loader looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Loader looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Vick passes into side control.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Vick wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Loader, who protects the arm well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Loader tries to buck Vick off but Vick is having none of it.
Loader is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Vick trying to control the action but Loader is working from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Loader is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Chucky Loader dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Loader comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Loader throws a combination. Vick tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Vick shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Loader is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Loader can do anything to dispel that myth.
Vick is keen to just control but Loader is a slippery customer.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Vick wants to free his trapped foot but Loader is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Vick moves nicely into side control.
Vick tries to advance to mount but can't.

Loader tries to bench press Vick off him but Vick keeps the position.
Vick tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Vick has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
You can see the frustration on Loader's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Vick will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Vick lands an elbow.
Loader can't do much from the bottom here.
Loader tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Loader is trying to control Vick's posture but Vick avoids it.
Loader is looking for a sweep.
Vick lands some shots froms side control.
Loader tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Vick wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Vick is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Loader knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Loader tries to improve position but can't.
Vick is working Loader over with some ground and pound from side control.
Vick stands up.
Vick fails with a takedown attempt.

Loader has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Vick with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Loader to score with a decent uppercut.

That was a close second round but I would say that Felix Vick will probably get the nod.

Loader lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Loader.
Loader throws a combination. Vick tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Vick throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Loader tests Vick's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Loader avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Vick takes a body punch but keeps moving.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Vick.

Vick changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Loader tries to avoid it but Vick manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Loader to the ground. Loader escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Vick doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Loader fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Vick looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Vick takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Vick takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

Loader's jab looks to have found its range, popping Vick under the eye.
Vick walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
