Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Shun Nitta (ranked 4820 p4p, 3674 weight class) and Dad Bod (ranked 558 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Columbo Gatti and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nitta has managed to clinch.
Nitta wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Nitta trying to stall but Bod improves his position.
Bod softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
Bod lands a hook that snaps the head of Nitta backwards.
Nitta tries a knee to the head but Bod blocks it.
Bod swings wildly with an uppercut but Nitta uses good head movement to avoid it.
Bod makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.

The fight stays on the outside here - Nitta looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Bod throws a jab when Nitta was well out of range.
Bod drops Nitta with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Nitta looks back up at him and smiles so Bod waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Nitta went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.

and Bod counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Bod looks to land a left hand but Nitta moved out of range nicely.
Shun Nitta seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
