PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rustam Tsubekov (ranked 3212 p4p, 1862 weight class) and Biscuit Oliva (ranked 413 p4p, 266 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Oliva's choice of entrance music: Vo Williams - Primal (ft. Vyceroy). Biscuit Oliva will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Tsubekov is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Oliva can't fight it off and eventually Tsubekov manages to take the fight to the floor. Oliva looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Tsubekov drops back looking for a leg! Oliva is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Oliva manages to kick Tsubekov off! Tsubekov jumps back into Oliva's guard.

Oliva throws a hook to the side of Tsubekov's head but Tsubekov sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Tsubekov fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Oliva sprawls well initially but Tsubekov persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Tsubekov is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Oliva is just riding it out for now. Tsubekov eventually gives up the hold.

Tsubekov looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
