Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Guillaume De Smet (ranked 5780 p4p, 5731 weight class) and Erkki Penttinen (ranked 573 p4p, 570 weight class). De Smet's entrance music is Gangster's Paradise. A fine choice. Penttinen is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Obsession. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Erkki Penttinen!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Marco Blurström and Matti Vanhoillinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
De Smet connects with a nice looking jab.
De Smet lands with a straight right. Penttinen didn't see that one coming.
De Smet keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Horrible takedown attempt by Penttinen or perhaps it was just good defense by De Smet, which made it look bad.
Penttinen fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Guillaume De Smet has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Erkki Penttinen.
Penttinen looks winded!
Penttinen takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
It looks like Erkki Penttinen has been cut.
Penttinen shoots in looking for a takedown but De Smet manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Penttinen's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
De Smet scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Penttinen is rocked!
De Smet stuns Penttinen with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Penttinen is still on wobbly legs! Can De Smet finish him?
Penttinen looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
De Smet is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Penttinen flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Penttinen is out cold! De Smet holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Guillaume De Smet!
