Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between LeBron Alvarez (ranked 25205 p4p, 6134 weight class) and Salmon Cod (ranked 673 p4p, 588 weight class). Salmon Cod is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, LeBron Alvarez! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Salmon Cod! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cod feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Alvarez being controlled here, momentarily. Cod has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Cozad MMA Tokyo. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one. Alvarez seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission. Cod really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Alvarez. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Cod is on top in guard.

Alvarez will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. It looks like Cod might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Cod postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Cod keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Alvarez's head. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Cod is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Cod stands up over Alvarez, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Cod is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Cod must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Cod not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Alvarez wants to sweep here but Cod controlling him for the moment. Alvarez being controlled here, momentarily. Cod looking to pass the guard. Cod seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Cod's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Cod. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Cod arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Alvarez's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!
