The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Simmeon throws a good cross that connects.
Simmeon waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Gustafson.
Gustafson shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Gustafson is standing up over Simmeon. Simmeon looks to escape but Gustafson dives into side control.
Gustafson advances nicely into full mount.
Simmeon is really trying hard to get back to his feet.

Gustafson is landing with some decent strikes but Simmeon is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
It looks like Pal Simmeon has been cut.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Simmeon's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Simmeon is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Gustafson locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Simmeon is forced to tap!
