Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Jacobs (ranked 3184 p4p, 4790 weight class) and Todd Moore (ranked 378 p4p, 0 weight class). Todd Moore will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, John Jacobs! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Todd Moore! The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Sandra Marshall and Peter Branson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Moore scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Moore closes the distance and clinches. Jacobs goes for a takedown attempt but Moore pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Moore moves into the clinch successfully.
Jacobs is trying to drag Moore to the mat but Moore just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Moore has had enough of the clinch but Jacobs keeps him there for the moment. Moore lands a shoulder strike. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Moore tries to break free but Jacobs pushes him back against the cage. Moore working hard to break the clinch. Jacobs tries for a takedown. No joy.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John Jacobs. That's going to take a lot out of him. Jacobs wants the takedown. Moore is fighting it off but Jacobs persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Moore's guard against the cage. Moore wants to stand but Jacobs is controlling the position. Jacobs is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
That's one minute gone in the round. Moore wants to stand but Jacobs is controlling the position. Jacobs thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Jacobs controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Moore is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Jacobs controls from within his opponent's guard. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Jacobs drops back looking for a leg! Moore is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Moore manages to kick Jacobs off! Jacobs jumps back into Moore's guard. Jacobs's corner is telling him to maintain position. Moore really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jacobs. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Jacobs drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Jacobs as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Moore screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Jacobs! Nice submission victory there!
