Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Pedro Phillips (ranked 1871 p4p, 3060 weight class) and Harry Henderson (ranked 119 p4p, 177 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Pedro Phillips! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Harry Henderson! The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Peter Branson and Santiago Holmes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Henderson dodges the punch combination from Phillips.
Harry Henderson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Henderson shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Henderson trying to control the position from guard on top but Phillips is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Phillips trying to control the position here. Phillips utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Phillips working a defensive guard but Henderson manages to pass into side control anyway.
Henderson tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Henderson wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Phillips, who protects the arm well. Henderson is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Phillips knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
That's one minute gone in the round. Henderson looks up at the clock and then as Phillips takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Henderson smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Henderson is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Phillips has escaped the position, nice work there. Henderson tries for a kimura but Phillips is defending well. Henderson just content to control the position. Henderson throwing shots but missing, from side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Henderson wants to lay and pray for a moment but Phillips keeps working. Phillips tries to buck Henderson off but Henderson is having none of it. Henderson is trying to get an arm triangle but Phillips is defending well. Henderson swings around for an armbar but Phillips sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Henderson's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Henderson has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Phillips can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Henderson has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Phillips doesn't defend quickly enough and Henderson has managed to lock this one up! Can Phillips escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Henderson on a fantastic submission victory.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Harry Henderson! Our winner, Harry Henderson, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
