The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chad showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Hughes.
Chad dodges the punch combination from Hughes.
Hughes misses with a jab, cross combination.
Hughes swinging wilding here.
Hughes lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Chad circles away quickly and effectively.
Sean Hughes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Chad displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
It looks like Sean Hughes has been cut.
Chad tries a head kick but it misses.
Hughes throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Chad counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Hughes's guard now.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Hughes had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Chad is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Hughes Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Chad's back instead.
Hughes looks gassed!
Chad trying to get back to his feet but Hughes is in full control for now.
You can see the frustration on Chad's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Hughes is working on the RNC. He looks like he's got it but Chad won't tap... Oh, he's out! The ref rips Hughes off his unconscious opponent!
