Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sammy Balammy (ranked 4808 p4p, 4199 weight class) and Hideki Suzuki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Sammy Balammy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Hideki Suzuki!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, James Atkins and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Suzuki ducks under a wild hook from Balammy.
Suzuki lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
It looks like Sammy Balammy has been cut.
Balammy throws a head kick but Suzuki moves out of range.
Balammy ducks under a wild hook from Suzuki.
Balammy throws a lazy right hand but Suzuki sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Suzuki ducks under a wild hook from Balammy.
Balammy dips to his left and cracks Suzuki with an uppercut!
It looks like Hideki Suzuki has been cut.
Suzuki ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Balammy moves away.
Balammy jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit.
Suzuki throws the left hand but Balammy avoids the punch easily.
Balammy throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Suzuki connects with a body shot.
Suzuki throws out a loose jab but Balammy uses good head movement to avoid it.
Balammy drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Suzuki on the wrong end of a nice hook.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Suzuki on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Suzuki throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Suzuki cracks Balammy with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Suzuki has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Balammy to stand back up!
Balammy is rocked!
Balammy switches off momentarily and Suzuki cracks him with a monster right hand! Balammy topples backwards and makes a semi conscious attempt to cover up, as Suzuki dives in to land one more shot, before the referee has time to call the fight. What a finish by Suzuki!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Hideki Suzuki!
