Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Zhang Wei (ranked 2767 p4p, 2742 weight class) and Perry Platypus (ranked 379 p4p, 377 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 1, fighting out of The Island, Zhang Wei!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Perry Platypus!
The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, David Hoff and Michael Johnstone.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fighters circling - Wei throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Platypus.
Wei swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Platypus uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Wei.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Wei!
Wei throws a right and a left that both miss.
And Platypus tries to counter it with a takedown but Wei pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Wei uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Platypus.
Platypus looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Wei misses the jab.
Platypus wants to counter with a clinch but Wei pushes him away.
Wei stuffs the takedown attempt from Platypus. Platypus gets slowly back to his feet.
Platypus displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Wei throws out the jab.
A little jabbing left from Platypus on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Wei looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
The fighters circle momentarily. Wei darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Platypus rushes Wei and presses him up against the cage.
Platypus is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Wei is defending well.
Zhang Wei has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Perry Platypus.
Wei has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Platypus has Wei pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Wei manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Platypus is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Wei to keep the fight standing.
Platypus goes for a takedown in the clinch but Wei prevents it.
Wei manages to break the clinch.
Zhang Wei is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Platypus on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Wei drops Platypus with a left and a right! Oh, Platypus is hurt - Wei dives into side control looking to finish!
Platypus is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
A big shot lands for Wei! That's hurt Platypus! Will he recover? Wei fires away with more strikes and the referee has to step in to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Zhang Wei!
Zhang Wei tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
