Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ebubekir Siddik (ranked 623 p4p, 2148 weight class) and Gael Grappler (ranked 94 p4p, 318 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Gael Grappler!
The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Michael Johnstone and Sandra Marshall.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grappler is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Siddik looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Grappler moves into the clinch successfully.
Siddik avoids a wild elbow strike from Grappler.
Grappler doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Grappler creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Grappler throws an elbow but it misses.
Siddik effectively controlling the action here.
Grappler pushes off an throws an elbow but Siddik leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Grappler is looking to regain half guard here but Siddik keeps moving and retains side control.

Siddik is nestled in close to Grappler, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Siddik looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Grappler with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Grappler is pressed up against the cage. Siddik has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Grappler down to the mat. Grappler avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Grappler's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Grappler really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Siddik. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Grappler tries to lock up and control but Siddik gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Siddik is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Grappler can do to turn this around?

Ebubekir Siddik spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
