Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Grow Up (ranked 2848 p4p, 3471 weight class) and John Locke (ranked 385 p4p, 451 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Grow Up! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, John Locke! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, David Hoff and Santiago Holmes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Up rushes Locke and presses him up against the cage. Up definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Locke pulls Up into guard.
Locke has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Up has passed into side control.
Up wants to control but Locke is keeping him busy. Up is really struggling to control Locke but he's trying to hold on to the position. Locke tries to buck Up off but Up is having none of it. Locke felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it. Locke manages to work his way to half guard, despite Up's best efforts. Up trying to control from half guard but Locke is working away. Locke tries to get to full guard but Up has control of the leg. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Locke looking to force a kimura from the bottom here. He's concentrating on that move too much though and Up pushes past his half guard into mount!
That's one minute gone in the round. Locke keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Up wants to control the pace but Locke is squirming around nicely. Locke keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Up takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Up pushing the pace here, looking to move to his opponents back and work for a finish.
Locke is trying desperately to improve position. Up looking to control but Locke is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Locke is working to get back to half guard.
Up looking for a guillotine from mount but Locke is having none of it. Locke wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back. Locke defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Up's arms. Up is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Locke knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Locke for a finish. Up is working hard for the rear naked choke here.
Locke rolls, trying to escape but Up keeps control of the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Locke manages to reverse the position and now he's in Up's guard. Nice work there by Locke.
Up keeping full guard, as Locke tries to pass. Up pulls Locke in close to his closed guard and prevents Locke from doing any damage or advancing position. Up has his foot on Locke's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Locke works his way back into a safe position though. Locke has gone for a leg lock! Up slips out almost immediately though and dives into Locke's guard. Up advances to half guard. Up is working for a submission of some sort.
Locke wants to improve his position but Up is controlling well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Up is looking for a kimura but Locke is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Up to get the leverage. Locke actively working from the bottom here. Locke is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Locke is still trying to improve position. Up seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Locke does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Locke missing with punches from the bottom.
Up is figuring out what he wants to do next. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Grow Up dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.
Up closes the distance and clinches. Locke gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Up utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Locke tries to free his leg and advance position but Up is retaining full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Up is trying to keep Locke in close.
Up seems keen to control Locke's posture. Up is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Locke lands a couple of digs. Locke stands up over his opponent, looking to dive in with a big punch. Here he comes, superman style! Oh, the punch misses and Up has got him in a triangle choke for good measure! Oh no! Locke manages to get his head free but now Up has transitioned to an armbar! Locke grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from Up! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Grow Up! Grow Up was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
