The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Savage shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Murdock is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Savage wants to control but Murdock is keeping him busy.
Murdock flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Savage throws a head kick but Murdock moves out of range.

Murdock gets caught flat footed, as Savage shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Murdock working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Savage doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Savage manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Savage really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Murdock. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Savage drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Savage jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Savage thows a big elbow that misses.
Savage has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Murdock to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Savage is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Murdock pulls down on the head and he's put Savage to sleep! This one is all over!
