Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Herleifr Conchobhar!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, Thor Nordquist!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Ron Honeybunn and Eliza Hachem.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Conchobhar jabs at Nordquist's body.
Nordquist dives in for a single leg takedown but Conchobhar sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Conchobhar throws a series of punches but Nordquist avoids them all with ease.
Nordquist unleashes a big counter combination but Conchobhar bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Nordquist takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Nordquist has Conchobhar up against the cage in a clinch.
Nordquist's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Nordquist tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Conchobhar counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Thor Nordquist seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nordquist throws an off balance right hand
and Conchobhar counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Nordquist tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Conchobhar was well out of range. Poor timing from Nordquist.
Nordquist slips under a jab.
Nordquist throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Horrible takedown attempt by Nordquist or perhaps it was just good defense by Conchobhar, which made it look bad.
Conchobhar misses with an uppercut. Nordquist saw that one coming.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Conchobhar connects with the punch.
Nordquist tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Conchobhar counters with a huge left! Nordquist is in big trouble! He's backing up but Conchobhar isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Nordquist from any more damage. A dominating finish by Conchobhar!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Herleifr Conchobhar!
