Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jan Sokol (ranked 6454 p4p, 6063 weight class) and Seo Joon Park (ranked 303 p4p, 289 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Jan Sokol! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Seo Joon Park! The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Shirou Masuda and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Park throws a body punch but Sokol moves out of range. Sokol seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym. Park throws a shot from downtown. Sokol moves away and avoids it. Sokol fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Sokol throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Sokol steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Park. Park throws a body shot but no joy. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Sokol lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Park has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Park and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Park is trying to counter with his kicks. Sokol throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Park's waist but Park gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Sokol off to one side. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sokol jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.

Sokol is looking to slow Park down with leg kicks. Sokol really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Park scores with a push kick. Sokol works over Park's head and body with a nice combination. Sloppy strikes from Sokol. Those never looked like landing. Nice straight punches there by Sokol. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Sokol. Sokol throws a leg kick but Park moved away. Sokol shoots for a double leg takedown but Park sprawls well. He's pushed Sokol's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Park misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Sokol.

Sokol jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit. Seo Joon Park is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. A big right from Park misses. Sokol tries to counter with a takedown but Park is quick to defend against it. No joy there for Park, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Park replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Sokol blocks it well. Park stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Park wants it to stay on the feet. Sokol is breathing heavily. Sokol defending well as Park loads up on a big left hand. We've been informed that Park has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. Park swings for the body but Sokol moves out of range.
Park throws a body shot but no joy. Sokol looks to land a right hand but Park moved out of range. Park is really struggling to land any decent head shots against his taller opponent. A looping hook to the body misses from Park. Sokol does a little dance to reset his feet. Park fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Park swings and misses with a hook to the body.

That was a bit too telegraphed. Park takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Sokol moves out of range as Park strikes. Sokol swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Sokol staying out of range there. Sokol tries to counter with a takedown but Park is quick to defend against it. Crunch! Park slams his shin into Sokol's torso. Sokol drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Sokol moves out of range as Park strikes.

Sokol attempts a counter takedown but Park avoids it well and moves away. Park tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Park has Sokol up against the ropes in a clinch.
The referee is keeping an eye on Park - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

That's six minutes gone in the round. Park misses with a knee to the head. Sokol takes a knee to the side of the body. Park tightens his grip and picks Sokol up, before dumping him to the ground. Sokol manages to land in guard. Park trying to control the position from guard on top but Sokol is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Park got a little sloppy there for a moment and Sokol has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Park has managed to get both his arms back between Sokol's legs - danger averted. Sokol avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Park trying to control the position from guard on top but Sokol is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Park scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Park really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sokol. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's seven minutes gone in the round. Park looking to pass the guard. Park controls from within his opponent's guard. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Park wants to control from the top but Sokol keeps moving. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Sokol working for submissions but it's allowed Park to get to half guard.
Well, if Park is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
That's eight minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Sokol has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Park is working away from the top position though. Park content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Park throwing shots but Sokol is blocking nicely.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Sokol swats away the attempt to clinch by Park. Sokol tries to counter by clinching up but Park breaks away and moves out of range.
That's nine minutes gone in the round. Sokol lands a leg kick that knocks Park off balance momentarily. Park takes a kick to the side of the head. Park swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Sokol shoots in but no luck this time. Sokol shoots in and drives through. Park sprawls well. Sokol throws a body kick despite being completely out of range and Park counters with a slapping leg kick. A big left from Park misses. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Park throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Park throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Seo Joon Park dominated that round. That's time! Sokol's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round! Sokol fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Park darts in and clinches Sokol up against the ropes. Park stalling in the clinch but Sokol improves position. Park lands a good knee to the midsection. Sokol won't want to take too many of those. Sokol drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Park gets the underhooks and prevents it.

And that's the end of the fight! Seo Joon Park comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Park has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
