Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alonnus Parker (ranked 3361 p4p, 3702 weight class) and Jason Blaine (ranked 435 p4p, 478 weight class). Alonnus Parker has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Alonnus Parker! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jason Blaine! The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Eddie Farnsworth and Russell Pearce.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Blaine keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Parker crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Blaine - the referee stops the clock and Parker gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Blaine. Parker manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Blaine dives in and scores a takedown into Parker's guard. Parker controlling the position. Parker throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Parker looking to hit a scissor sweep but Blaine is one step ahead there. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Parker pulls Blaine in to control the position. Parker trying to keep a closed guard but Blaine is proving a slippery customer.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Blaine slaps away a takedown attempt from Parker, before circling back to the center of the mat. Blaine appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body. Blaine tries to bum rush Parker with a series of wild strikes but Parker uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Blaine wants to clinch up but Parker keeps it at a distance. Blaine moves in looking to clinch but Parker pushes him off. Parker closes the distance and clinches up with Blaine, looking for a takedown. Parker pushes Blaine against the cage but Blaine circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Alonnus Parker. That's going to take a lot out of him. Blaine scores with a nice right hand.
Blaine throws a hook but Parker blocks it. Excellent takedown into side control there by Blaine. Parker is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at Hitters, so we'll see if he gets out of it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Parker is looking for a sweep. Parker is working hard here to advance position. In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Blaine working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though. Blaine wants to lay and pray for a moment but Parker keeps working. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Blaine avoids the strikes from the bottom by Parker. Parker manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Parker looks like he's trying to stand up.
Parker is holding on to half guard well. Blaine keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Blaine is pressing down on Parker's thigh, looking to free his foot. Parker is holding on for now. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Blaine looks winded! Parker tries to roll over but Blaine keeps him under control. Parker makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Parker. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Parker holds on and takes a little breather.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Parker landing with the ground and pound. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Blaine can do anything to dispel that myth. Parker landing some decent shots from guard. Blaine keeping moving, preventing Parker from controlling successfully. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Parker working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Jason Blaine will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. A low kick from Blaine is predictable there and Parker counters with a shoot takedown. Blaine fights it but they end up in guard. Blaine kicks Parker off and gets to his feet. Alonnus Parker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Blaine fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Parker shoots in and bounces Blaine off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Parker's corner. There ya go! There ya go! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Parker lands a couple of elbows. Blaine wants to control the position but Parker says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard. Parker lands strikes from half guard.
Blaine is rocked! Parker lands a big elbow - Blaine is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Parker!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Alonnus Parker! Alonnus Parker decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
