Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bud Bull (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Bilski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Frank Bilski enters the cage!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bilski rushes Bull and presses him up against the cage. Bilski prevents a body shot from Bull. Bilski blocks an uppercut.
Bilski drops down looking for an ankle pick but Bull pulls his leg out and moves away.
Bilski closes the distance and pushes Bull back into the cage. Bull tries a knee to the head but he's missed.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bilski winds up and cracks Bull with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Bull is looking to control Bilski's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Bull avoid being mounted? Bull on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Bilski shoots for a double leg takedown but Bull sprawls well. He's pushed Bilski's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Bilski shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Bull as he jumps to the side. Bull fails with an attempt to clinch.
Bilski feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Bull throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.

Bilski lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Bilski wants to control from the top but Bull keeps moving. Bull is trying to keep Bilski in close.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Bilski decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Bilski content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Bilski working over Bull with some ground and pound. Bull looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Bull is trying to get back to full guard. Bilski stands up and beckons Bull to join him on the feet. Bilski shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Bull as he jumps to the side. Bud Bull has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Frank Bilski. Bilski decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Bilski escapes and gets back to his feet.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Bilski won't allow Bull to sweep him here. Bilski has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Bull is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Bilski is controlling him. Bilski distracts Bull with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Bilski working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Bull's head. Bilski must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Bull not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Bilski can do anything to dispel that myth. Bilski looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Bull gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head. Bull wants to get back to striking at distance but Bilski won't allow it.

He used the cage to his advantage there. Bilski goes for a takedown attempt but Bull pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
