Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Troy Barnes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Daley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Paul Daley is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Troy Barnes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Paul Daley!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, James Glass and William Gold.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barnes lands the left hand.


It looks like Paul Daley has been cut.
Barnes fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Daley darts in and clinches Barnes up against the cage.

Barnes pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Barnes dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Daley. That did some damage!
Daley takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Daley looks gassed!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Daley moves out of range of the strikes.
Barnes drops Daley with a left and a right! Oh, Daley is hurt - Barnes dives into side control looking to finish!


Daley is rocked!
Barnes content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
Daley is still in real trouble! Can Barnes finish him?
Daley seems to have recovered his senses.
Barnes tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
Daley seems a little lost for a moment, as Barnes dominates the positioning.
Daley taking punishment in the form of punches.

Barnes wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Daley, who protects the arm well.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Barnes is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Daley will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Barnes wants to control but Daley is keeping him busy.

Barnes postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Daley is being controlled here.
Barnes has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Daley gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Barnes looking to ground and pound but Daley is blocking nicely.
Daley keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Barnes has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Barnes throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Barnes thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Barnes throwing shots from mount but they're not landing.
Barnes lands a big shot there that rocks Daley but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Barnes sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Barnes looking to ground and pound but Daley is blocking nicely.
Daley tries to lock up and control but Barnes gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Barnes looking to control and managing it successfully.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Barnes pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Barnes throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Daley because Barnes loaded up on that one.
Barnes prevents Daley from getting the reversal.
Barnes cracks Daley with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Barnes looking to control and managing it successfully.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Barnes can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Daley is looking to escape.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Troy Barnes dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Paul Daley's cut.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Barnes rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Daley moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Daley moves in looking to clinch but Barnes pushes him off.
Barnes throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Barnes connects with a jab.


That has opened up Paul Daley's cut even more.
Daley pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Barnes misses with a series of wild punches.
Barnes knocks Daley to the floor with a head kick! Can he finish him!?
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Daley dodges the ground and pound from Barnes.
Daley is not content to let Barnes control the position.
Barnes scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Daley to see if he's OK.
Daley is breathing heavily.
Barnes creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Daley sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Barnes in side control, just content to control the action for now.
Barnes is looking to take a break and control but Daley is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Troy Barnes just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.
Barnes misses with a straight left.
Barnes avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Barnes throws a right and a left that Daley avoids nicely.
Barnes lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Barnes scores with a jab.


The cut above Paul Daley's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Troy Barnes is winning the standup battle so far.
Daley on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.


Paul Daley's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Oh, that's a big right hand from Barnes and Daley goes tumbling to the canvas! Barnes follows him to the ground and looks to finish from half guard.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Paul Daley's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:19 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Troy Barnes!
