Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mark O Madsen (ranked 2205 p4p, 4853 weight class) and Vern Schullacks (ranked 322 p4p, 582 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mark O Madsen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Vern Schullacks!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
O Madsen looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

O Madsen moves forwards but Schullacks connects with a nice, crisp jab.

O Madsen thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Schullacks is on top in guard.

You can see the frustration on O Madsen's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
