Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tom Sawyer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Warhol (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sawyer has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Tom Sawyer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Matt Warhol!
The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Mauricio Rocha and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sawyer is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Sawyer looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Warhol circles away from the clinch attempt.
Warhol feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Warhol drops back looking for a leg! Sawyer is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Sawyer manages to kick Warhol off! Warhol jumps back into Sawyer's guard.
Warhol postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Sawyer is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Warhol, into his guard.
Warhol is looking for a triangle but Sawyer pushes his legs off easily.
Warhol looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Warhol working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Sawyer doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Sawyer manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Sawyer knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Warhol on the ground.
Warhol is looking for a triangle but Sawyer pushes his legs off easily.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Sawyer has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Warhol to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Sawyer is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Warhol pulls down on the head and he's put Sawyer to sleep! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Matt Warhol!
