Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Mateo Gomez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Sammy Jam!
The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Daniel Franklin and David Hoff.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jam avoids the body shot from Gomez.
Jam tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Gomez throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Jam.
Jam dives in and grabs Gomez's left leg, looking for a takedown. Gomez pushes down on Jam's head and hops out.
Gomez plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Gomez fails with an attempt to clinch.
Gomez lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Jam circles away quickly and effectively.
A head kick by Gomez misses
and Jam counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Gomez!
Jam is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Gomez has escaped the position, nice work there.
Jam goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Gomez has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Jam but great work by Gomez.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Jam holds on tight, trying to prevent any damage.
Jam tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Gomez wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Jam is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Jam is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Gomez's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Gomez's back!
Jam has got one arm under Gomez's chin. This could be trouble... Gomez trying to control the other hand but Jam gets it free and sqeezes tight - just a matter of time now! Yep, Gomez has tapped out! The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Sammy Jam!
In defeat, Mateo Gomez stepped up to the mic, saying 'I'm sorry to my fans. I hope, no, I WILL come back from this. Respect to the winner, can't wait to come back!'.
