Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Enzo Williams (ranked 1864 p4p, 1964 weight class) and Larry Shark (ranked 266 p4p, 276 weight class). Larry Shark has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Enzo Williams!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Larry Shark!
The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Daniel Franklin and Sandra Marshall.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Williams.
Williams circles away from the clinch attempt.
Williams was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.

Shark looking to control.

Williams drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Williams jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Williams drops back, looking for a kneebar! Shark looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Shark looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Shark!

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Williams wants to control but Shark is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Larry Shark seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Williams uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Shark.
Shark ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Williams moves away.

Williams decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Shark wants to control but Williams is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Williams prevents Shark from improving his position.

Williams is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Shark sees it coming and defends easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Shark is holding on to half guard well.

Williams is working for a kimura from half guard. He's really concentrating on the hold and it's allowed Shark to slip a leg under and get back to full guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Williams stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Shark swivels though and keeps the full guard.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Larry Shark will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Shark scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Shark tries to get to full guard but Williams has control of the leg.

Williams is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Shark is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Shark has escaped and now he's on top!

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Shark has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Williams is proving hard to escape from.

Williams working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Shark doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Shark manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Williams has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Shark is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Williams.

Williams is trying hard to land a takedown here. Shark sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Williams moves forwards but Shark connects with a nice, crisp jab.

A little jabbing left from Shark on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.

Larry Shark comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Shark winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
