Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Lucas Kuas (ranked 3940 p4p, 4940 weight class) and Better Dead Ii (ranked 528 p4p, 599 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

With a record of 1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Better Dead Ii!
The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Dirk Anderson and Sandra Marshall.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dead Ii throws a series of punches but Kuas avoids them all with ease.
Kuas went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Dead Ii darts in looking for a takedown but Kuas gets double underhooks and turns Dead Ii into the cage.
Kuas slips a straight right by Dead Ii.
Dead Ii misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Kuas.

Dead Ii's coach down at Island Gym was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Dead Ii's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Kuas changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Dead Ii tries to avoid it but Kuas manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Dead Ii to the ground. Dead Ii escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Kuas dives in and grabs Dead Ii's left leg, looking for a takedown. Dead Ii pushes down on Kuas's head and hops out.

Better Dead Ii seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Well Dead Ii has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
